PREPARATION PHASE

Preliminary recommendations See SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT       In order to avoid the risk of mixing incompatible products (ex: pest control treatments and weed killers), we suggest that you use different sprayers for different applications.   Always use clear water.   Forecast the necessary quantity of treatment product according to chemical manufacturer's guidelines.   Put the sprayer in service by setting the carrying strap and by screwing the handle deeply on the lance.

Fill the tank with the appropriated amount of water to dilute the mixture. Do not fill above the maximum level shown on the tank (maxi: 3.5l for a tank of 5l, 5l for 7l , 8l for 12l , 1.5l for 2l …)     Incorporate and mix the product by respecting the prescribed dose. These doses can vary from a preparation to another. Close the tank carefully .         Close the reservoir carefully . Pressurised Sprayers (with preliminary pressure) with removable pump Ex FLORALY design : Screw the pump then pump until the red indicator of the pressure relief valve appears.         Pressurised Sprayers (with preliminary pressure) with fixed pump Ex ELYTE design : Tighten correctly the lid of the tank to avoid any seepage and air inlet, then pump until the red indicator of the pressure relief valve appears. Hand operated sprayers (with maintained pressure) On VERMOREL 2000 Pro: Check that the regulator valve is correctly adjusted. On COSMOS 18: Check the position of the control lever (high pressure: treatment; low pressure: weeding).         Nb: Make sure that the nozzle tip is well adapted to the type of application. 	USING PHASE

Switch the flow control on the handle to release spray.     Set the angle of the jet by adjusting the nozzle. For total, pesticide, fungicide treatments, the spray angle must be set in order to make a fine mist (micro-droplets). This spray is obtained with high pressure (not lower than 3 bar).       See ACCESSORIES: Nozzles "treat or weed"?         Stop spraying before the streaming point, (before big drops appear on vegetables). Exceptions: in case of fruit trees treatment during winter and also for treatments against cochineal (stream on the bark to soak well ).         Jet has to cover all the surface of the vegetable which has to be protected. Spray on and under the leaves (possibly by means of the flexible nipple) at least 50 cm away from the foliage. For trees, spray from the bottom to the top then come down again, turn all around.         If the nozzle is blocked, bring down pressure by pressing on the air valve. Then unset the nozzle and clean it up.

	AFTER USING

At the end of the process, purge air by pressing on the air valve before unscrewing the pump or the filling cap.     Rinse carefully the sprayer with the cleaning product *, in order to be sure that you are not going to spray unwanted chemical residue in the wrong place; do it again twice using at least 1 to 2 litres of water.         Pump again, then empty the piping set, lance and nozzle by activating the handle. Unscrew the pump when the sprayer is empty. Do not leave the sprayer under the sun, or in a cold place (below 0 °). Do not store residual liquid in the sprayer (risk of obstruction of the strainer or the nozzle).         Grease regularly all seals by using silicone grease*. * See ACCESSORIES: Sprayer maintaining
