founded in 1895 by Paul BERTHOUD who, having bought
a hardware business, decided to put his money into a new product:
a cooper backpack sprayer with a helix nozzle. In the years immediately after the WWII,
demand for backpack sprayers grew dramatically, decided to expand into the home & garden market<br>

Ten years later, BERTHOUD consolidated all departments at villefranche sur saone - france.<br>
<br>
The BERTHOUD company, became part of the EXEL Group (now <a href="les_pages/page_entreprise_groupe.htm">EXEL Industries</a>),
who had earlier bought the Vermorel brand. BERTHOUD became one of the <a href="http://www.exelgsa.com/">EXEL GSA</a> company's
flagship subsidiaries</font></p>

& practices. EXEL GSA recently expanded into a new range of <a href="les_pages/pulverisateurs/">PULVEXEL</a> wheeled
power sprayers. <br>
In addition, the company has a proud history of developing innovative
products & accessories. Several have been awarded the Innovation Trophy,
such as the new <a href="les_pages/pulverisateurs/page_elyte1_modeles.htm">ELYTE</a> AND THE <a
href="les_pages/pulverisateurs/page_gamme_vermorel3_autres.htm">Vermorel</a> 2000 Electric sprayer. Evidence
